Missing October
Missing October
October has passed, and readers of this blog may have noticed that I have not posted any updates in the past 40 days. The initial purpose of this blog is to record my life and share technologies, and October has been over-occupied for any writings. This note will go through some of the biggest time blockers in October.
OAs and Interviews
You may know me from the intro page that I am currently a graduate student of CMU LTI, and one of our graduation requirements is an internship experience. I am happy to share with my readers that I have received an offer from one of my top targets, therefore withdrawing the rest of the interviews. I will announce this news later this month when I am less occupied with the CMU stuff on LinkedIn. Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn!
Continuous High Fever and Emergency Room
Yes, I caught a terrible illness in the past period. Before arriving in the states, I wasn’t expecting any virus other than the flu and covid. And I was terribly WRONG!
Since October 20th or so, I started to feel unwell with low fevers. I wasn’t paying attention at first, since I got way too many things to worry about until the illness grew big enough to be ignored. I took some Ibuprofen pills to kill the fever at the beginning. With no sign of recovery, instead, the fever went all the way up to 104.00 ℉. I started feeling I was dying and finally decided to seek medical treatment. I went to the emergency room one day after school with my roommate. My doc tested all possible infections and gave me two fever-killing Intravenous drips. After ten days of fighting with fevers and pain, I finally began to feel back to life.
PS: I received the ER bill yesterday, which completely shocked me. CMU insurance is my life saver.
Next Steps
From now on to Christmas, I will focus on schoolwork and lab research. I will try to share things interesting going on and not ghost my readers for such a long time ;) Stay tuned!
